Clear For Take-Off!
Our next music night -
Friday 27th April - Our ever-popular Open Mic night makes a return! Come on down with your voice, your musical instrument and/or your personality, and entertain us! You can expect a warm and good-humoured audience in our great little club!
Our Next Live Music Night - Friday 11th May - Jane Pearl Those of you who saw Shootin' The Crow last year will remember Jane Pearl - the Lady from Kentucky with a character larger than life itself, a laugh, a joke and a song for every subject! Jane is a solo artiste in her own right and has sung and played with many great musicians both in the UK and USA. Here she will be accompanied by the multi-talented Lyndon Webb on guitar and mandolin. Watch out for Jane's banjo Ukelele and Kazoogle skills as well as her ready wit and repartee! What's a Kazoogle? Well, you'll have to come and see...
Friday 8th June - Bob Smith - Bob is a very well-known and respected singer/songwriter from the Forest of Dean - a sort of cross between a traditional Forester, Billy Bragg and Steve Earle, though to define Bob is a difficult task, as he's a total musical individual! Bob started his musical career way back in a punk band and has delivered his biting, sometimes funny, sometimes very touching songs to audiences around the world over the years. His "Hickory Stick Boys" band is a local legend, as is his former band Garrison Damn. Come and get entertained with some thought-provoking music!
Friday 13th July - Shootin' The Crow - You saw them and loved them last year - well, they're back with their old lineup (Daisy the fiddle player was away having a baby last year) so it's a chance to see some songs you know and others you don't, played in a different lineup!
